Competency exam resources for technologists
New applicants who have completed a Canadian non-accredited* engineering technology program or foreign program that has been assessed by the Panel of Examiners as equivalent to Technologist academics will now be required to write a competency exam and submit a competency summary to achieve the Technologist academic classification. You must be certified as a C.Tech. (Certified Technician) in order to qualify for writing the competency exams. Associates are not eligible to write the competency exam.
Applicants will be informed of the competency exam and competency summary requirement, in writing, after their application has been assessed by the Certification Board.
------------
* Your program of study must be accredited under the Technology Accreditations Canada website or be recognized under an international engineering accord (Washington or Sydney).
