BECOMING A MEMBER

Upon completion of an application form, CTTAM committees will review your education and experience and your membership category will be determined and recommended to the CTTAM Board of Directors for final approval

MEMBERSHIP CATEGORIES

Engineering Technician 

Academic credits based on the National Reference Standards of the Canadian Council of Technicians and Technologists, or possession of an accredited certificate in engineering or applied science technician program. Certified Technicians have the right to use the nationally recognized designation C.Tech.

Engineering Technologist 

Academic credits based on the National Reference Standards of the Canadian Council of Technicians and Technologists, or possession of an accredited diploma in engineering or applied science technologist program. Certified Technologists have the right to use one of the nationally recognized designations C.E.T. or A.Sc.T.

The Associate Category 

Associate Category is available to an applicant who qualifies academically but has yet to attain the necessary experience, or does not meet minimum academic requirements but has acquired extensive relevant experience. New graduates from accredited programs qualify for Graduate Technologist Membership.

The Students Category 


Student Category is available for no fee to all students registered in a Technology program.  Students can then apply for Associate status within one year of graduation and receive a reduced application fee.
