Professional Retiree Health and Dental Insurance Plan
A new Professional Retiree Health and Dental Insurance Plan, sponsored by Engineers Canada and underwritten by Manulife, is available to all eligible Engineers Canada members in Canada.
If you’re retiring or starting your own business, Engineers Canada offers three professional retiree health and dental coverage options:
- Base – acceptance is guaranteed regardless of your health status and no medical questionnaire is required upon application
- Bridge – no medical questionnaire is required if you apply within 60 days of your group health plan end date
- Comprehensive – offers the highest coverage maximums of the three plans in many benefit categories

ARTA / CTTAM Retired Members Insurance Plan
CTTAM has partnered with the Alberta Retired Teachers' Association to offer retired CTTAM members a retiree benefits plan. To participate in the ARTA Retiree Benefits Plan, you must be a retired member of CTTAM age 55 or older, a permanent resident of Canada and are enrolled in all provincial or territorial health care plans for which you are eligible.
Enrollment:
You are automatically eligible to enroll in an Extended Health Plan with emergency travel (Total or Ultimate Health plans) if ARTA receives your application within 60 days of termination from an employer-sponsored group benefits plan (either as an employee or eligible dependent). After 60 days, applications require medical evidence of insurability and you may be denied coverage. Your ARTA Retiree Benefits Plan coverage starts the day after you current coverage terminates. Please note that CTTAM retired members must purchase an ARTA Associate membership to participate in the retired member benefit plans. The Manitoba Association of Retired Government Employees (MARGE) Inc. has worked with Johnson Inc., a national benefits provider to develop a voluntary benefit plan available to MARGE members, residing anywhere in Canada. Plan options include basic extended health care with basic prescription drug coverage and basic non-drug coverage and enhanced health care coverage with enhanced prescription drug coverage and enhanced non-drug coverage.
All MARGE members must be receiving a pension. All applications must include written proof that you are receiving a pension to qualify for this insurance program.

Professional Liability, Errors & Omissions Insurance
A new professional liability (known as errors and omissions or E&O) insurance program designed specifically for
technicians and technologists in Canada.
Coordinated by the Canadian Council of Technicians and Technologists (CCTT), the program is being underwritten by
AIG Insurance Group Inc., a major U.S.-based insurance company. The program is available exclusively to members of CTTAM and the nine other provincial members of CCTT.
The Canadian firm offering the program on behalf of AIG is Dale Parizeau LM of Quebec. In Western Canada, the firm of LMS PROLINK will act as the official broker.
LMS Prolink manages over 30 professional liability insurance programs for associations across the country and has partnered with Dale Parizeau LM to deliver a number of programs in recent years.
